During his visit, Dr. Huang met with Eng. Khalid Alsalem, Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Jumaan Al Zahrani, Stakeholder and Chairmain of KraftPal partners in GCC and Gregor Brajovic, CEO of KraftPal Technologies. "The purpose of the visit was to discuss the progress of the mega factory project and explore potential opportunities for cooperation," said Gregor Brajovic, CEO of KraftPal Technologies.
Starting in December 2021, being part of Vision 2030 for Saudi Arabia, KraftPal Technologies has successfully developed new product models for GCC market, tested its innovative cardboard pallet production technology and acquired all permissions to start building first Mega-plant in the region. This will be world’s first pallet mega plant with capacity to produce up to 10Mil pallets yearly.
The mega-factory concept aims to meet the high demand for corrugated pallets in the region. Construction work on the first 86,000 m2 plant has already begun, and first facilities will be operational by November 2023.
As the main investor in KraftPal Technologies, Dr. Huang expressed his excitement about the progress of the project and the growth potential in the region. He emphasised the importance of innovation and technology in the supply chain, where companies can reduce the cost of pallets and reduce CO2 emissions for 80% in one way pallet logistics. In general, impact of 50-100Mil yearly savings and huge sustainability improvements for multinational companies is big enough for them to consider immediate cooperation with KraftPal.
